In 1980, he joined Dyno Rod UK, a drain and sewer service company, where he honed the skills that would become the cornerstone of McDowell Drain & Waterproofing. In 1990, he emigrated to Canada and joined a leading rooter company as an underground supervisor. However, as time passed, he observed a shift in the industry—sales took precedence over customer service. Believing that customers deserved better, he took a leap of faith and founded McDowell Drain & Waterproofing in 1995, driven by the principle of “customer service first.”
